History

I started my DJ career being a Roady for the Academy of Sound a DJ Business in Surrey in 1991 where I learnt initially about Lighting & Sound & most of all hard work. Eventually he trusted me enough to let me loose on the decks. Most of the functions we did over the next five years were engagement parties, weddings, anniversaries spliced with the odd 18th or 21st Birthday party. We tended to get a lot of repeat work as a team of Three as we had a huge sound & lighting rig & always turned up looking professional in matching Business colours. We signed on with an agency that after seeing us re-categorised us as one of his top DJ acts. Eventually we had to go our separate ways as the DJ I worked for hung up his headphones.

Having been bitten by the DJ bug I bought my own set of CD decks in 1998 and started to get into House Music & self taught myself mixing over the next couple of years. Finally after a couple of house parties for friends I felt confident enough to play live at the odd event including a couple of LTSB work parties up in London. My first real break was when I was given a two hour set for a New Years Eve Life’s Chemistry Party in London playing back to back with some top Funky House DJ’s.

I then secured my first residency at The Red Lion in Sittingbourne in the Summer of 2006 after basically asking if I could play live in the courtyard. After initially just playing in the Summer specialising in Funky House & Classic Anthems, I was then asked to come up with some themed nights & later introduced some successful Skool Disco nights, Nineties Revivals Nights, Seventies DISCO & Eighties Nights amongst others which obviously gave me a better all round perspective of DJ’ing.

Then came what can only be considered all DJ’s utopia the opportunity to DJ in Ibiza at Café Savannah in the Summer of 2006. This was repeated at same venue in 2007 but I also got to play at Kanya Beach Club that year as well. I continued to do the odd gig for Life’s Chemistry & then got a second Residency at Enigma Wine Bar in Rochester playing Funky House & Classic Dance anthems. Then in the summer of 2009 I got to play in Ibiza for a Third year out of the last Four & have had the chance to grace the Decks at Plastik & Café Savannah for a Third time. Back home my Residency after over Three successful years at the Red Lion sadly came to an end in the early part of 2010. I returned to Ibiza for a fourth time in 2014 and played once again at Café Savannah.

The last few years has seen me return to my roots as my diary tends to be dominated by weddings although I do still get the odd smattering of engagement & birthday parties as well as the seasonal bits like Halloween & Christmas parties. The fact that a lot of my actual DJ friends have actually got me to DJ their weddings says a lot. I am Fully Insured including Public Liability Insurance & have all my equipment PAT tested each year. My Sound System is all Pro-Bose equipment & my Decks are top of the range Pioneer CDJ 900 Nexus’s, my lighting includes Three different coloured lasers. I now have the best part of 20 years’ experience in this business & can pretty much cater for any style of music required.
